Delaware man arrested after firing shots, threatening neighbors at Millsboro gathering

MILLSBORO, DE — A 56-year-old Millsboro man was arrested Saturday night on multiple gun charges after allegedly firing shots near his home following a dispute at a neighborhood gathering, Delaware State Police said.

Troopers responded around 11:25 p.m. on March 22 to a report of disorderly conduct and gunfire on Gravel Hill Road. Upon arrival, officers learned that Harry Hudson had caused a disturbance at a social event at a nearby residence and was asked to leave.

Police said Hudson returned shortly after with a large dog and made threatening statements before being asked to leave again. As he walked away, he allegedly displayed a concealed handgun, holding it in his hand.

Moments later, attendees reported hearing gunshots from the direction of Hudson’s property, followed by threats yelled by Hudson. Troopers located him in his driveway yelling obscenities and took him into custody without resistance. A loaded firearm was found on the ground nearby.

Investigators determined that Hudson is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. He was transported to Troop 4 and charged with weapons offenses. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on a $21,050 unsecured bond.
