FREDERICK, MD — A person was hospitalized Thursday night after a reported stabbing on Greystone Drive that Frederick Police now believe was self-inflicted, according to an official update.

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Greystone Drive at approximately 9:21 p.m. on April 17. Upon arrival, they located one individual with stab wounds who was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

The victim was last reported in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation, which led detectives to determine the injuries were likely self-inflicted.
