BALTIMORE, Md. — A man was shot and killed late Friday night in Southwest Baltimore after officers on patrol heard gunfire and were dispatched to a reported shooting just blocks away.
The deadly incident unfolded around 11:11 p.m. on April 18. While canvassing the area, officers were sent to the 600 block of Allendale Street, where they found an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Medics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Homicide detectives responded shortly after and are leading the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been announced, and a motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
Residents in the area reported a heavy police presence overnight as officers combed the scene for evidence and potential witnesses.
