BRONX, NY — Two men were shot in broad daylight near East Fordham Road and Grand Concourse in the Bronx after being approached by armed suspects on a motorized scooter, New York City police said Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. on April 9, 2025. A 26-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were struck by gunfire after two unidentified individuals discharged a firearm before fleeing the scene.
The 26-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the right ankle, while the 52-year-old was hit in the back. Both victims were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx and Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
Investigators said the suspects fled the area on East Fordham Road toward Webster Avenue on the same motorized scooter they used to approach the victims.
Police release suspect descriptions
The first suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and between the ages of 18 and 25. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a green sweatshirt, a black jacket with an unidentified design on the front, dark pants, and black sneakers.
The second suspect is also a male with a light complexion and medium build, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with black hair. He was last seen wearing an “8 ball” jacket, a black Nike balaclava, a black sweatshirt, dark pants, and red shoes. He is also believed to be between 18 and 25 years old.
