12-year-old reported missing in Cumberland

Authorities in Cumberland are searching for a missing 12-year-old boy who was last seen Monday evening in the Riverbend Court area, according to a statement issued by the Cumberland Police Department.

The child, identified as Gatlyn Evans, was reported missing around 6:00 p.m. He is described as a white male, approximately 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 100 pounds. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black shirt and black sweatpants.

Police are urging anyone with information about Evans’ whereabouts to contact the department at 301-777-1600. According to the release, callers can remain anonymous.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of Evans’ disappearance but emphasized the importance of public assistance in locating him quickly.
