PATERSON, NJ — Street improvement efforts are underway in Paterson as city crews began milling and concrete work in the 1st and 4th Wards this week, according to Mayor Andre Sayegh.

The mayor announced that Summer and Fulton Streets were milled in preparation for paving. Concrete work was also performed along North Main Street, with Stout Street scheduled next.

Sayegh said the work is part of the city’s broader infrastructure initiative, which aims to resurface an additional 25 streets before the end of the year.

“Yes, work continues on River Street,” the mayor noted in an update posted Friday.

The resurfacing plan is part of a citywide push to improve road conditions in multiple neighborhoods throughout Paterson.
