BALTIMORE — Two 15-year-old males were arrested Friday in connection with a carjacking and armed robbery in Northeast Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Officers responded around 5 p.m. to the 4100 block of Biddison Lane, where a 28-year-old man reported that two unidentified suspects had carjacked him and taken his SUV. Shortly after, another call reported an armed robbery in the 3700 block of Ridgecroft Road. In that incident, a 15-year-old victim had his watch and jacket stolen.
Police later located the carjacked SUV with significant damage in the 4100 block of Chesterfield Avenue. Witnesses told investigators that the vehicle had crashed and that two individuals fled the scene on foot.
Officers canvassed the area and located the two juvenile suspects. A BB gun was recovered during the arrest.
One suspect charged as adult in carjacking case
Both teens were taken to an area hospital for medical treatment. Upon discharge, one suspect was charged as an adult and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The second suspect was sent to the Juvenile Justice Center and remains in custody.
Police have not released the identities of the suspects due to age restrictions, and the investigation remains active.
The carjacking and robbery incidents occurred within close proximity and timeframe, prompting a coordinated police response.
