Check Your Tickets: Winning $1,000 for Week Lottery Ticket Sold in Lanham

by Breaking Local News Report

LANHAM, Md. — A lucky Maryland Lottery player is set to receive $1,000 a week for life after purchasing a second-tier winning ticket in the multistate Cash4Life game, officials announced Wednesday.

The winning ticket, sold at Wegmans located at 9001 McHugh Drive in Lanham, matched the first five numbers in the June 18 drawing: 17, 26, 30, 47, and 57. The Cash Ball number was 4, which was not matched. This makes the winner eligible for the game’s second-tier prize.

The prize offers the winner a choice between receiving $1,000 per week for life — paid as annual installments of $52,000 — or a one-time cash option of $1 million, before taxes. The individual has not yet come forward to claim the prize.

Wegmans, the Prince George’s County retailer that sold the winning ticket, will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.

First second-tier Cash4Life win in Maryland this year

This is Maryland’s first second-tier Cash4Life winner in 2025 and the twelfth such prize claimed in the state since Cash4Life launched in Maryland in 2016. The last second-tier winner was reported on December 31.

Lottery officials remind winners to sign the back of their tickets and store them safely. Prizes over $25,000 must be claimed through the Lottery’s Baltimore headquarters within 182 days of the drawing.
