Queens neighborhood becomes home to New York Lottery’s latest TAKE 5 top-prize winner
REGO PARK, N.Y. — A winning TAKE 5 ticket sold at a Rego Park business matched all five numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing, making the Queens neighborhood the site of the latest top-prize winner in the New York Lottery game.
The New York Lottery announced that one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the June 17 TAKE 5 Evening drawing.
The winning ticket, worth $31,443, was purchased at Zaher Meat Corp, located at 63-76 Woodhaven Blvd. in Rego Park.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The game is drawn twice daily, with televised drawings held at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Lottery officials said prizes from New York Lottery draw games may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
The New York Lottery reported contributing $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2024-2025 to benefit public schools throughout New York State. The lottery remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America.
