DC police release video of suspects in botched carjacking on R Street

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are searching for multiple suspects involved in an attempted carjacking on December 26 in Northwest DC that ended with the assailants fleeing on foot.

The incident occurred around 9:23 p.m. in the 1300 block of R Street NW. According to police, the victim was unloading items from his vehicle when the suspects approached, assaulted him, and demanded his car keys. The suspects attempted to take the vehicle but were ultimately unsuccessful.
