Gun violence strikes Silver Spring as man found shot in the street

SILVER SPRING, MD — A man was found shot early Friday morning in Silver Spring, prompting an ongoing investigation by Montgomery County police.

Authorities responded to the 9300 block of Georgia Avenue after reports of gunfire. Officers arrived alongside fire and rescue crews and located the injured man. His current condition remains unknown.
