The assault happened around 8:32 p.m. on Friday, April 11, while the employee was driving a westbound Q56 bus near Jamaica Avenue and Cypress Hills Street, NYPD Crimestoppers said in a public alert.

Investigators said an unidentified individual approached the on-duty MTA employee and became involved in a verbal confrontation before allegedly attacking the driver.

Police said the suspect punched the 67-year-old victim multiple times in the face during the incident.
