Newark police ask for public’s help identifying suspects in Grafton Avenue shooting

NEWARK, NJ – Newark police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying several individuals connected to a late-morning shooting on Grafton Avenue near Broadway last month, authorities announced Thursday.

Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., said officers responded around 11:45 a.m. on January 28 to reports of gunfire in the area. Responding units discovered shell casings and later found a man whose vehicle had been struck by bullets. The victim was not injured, though the hood of his car sustained visible damage.

Detectives released images of multiple individuals who were seen with the suspected shooter moments before the gunfire erupted. Investigators believe identifying these people could be key to advancing the case.
