Police say officers tracked down a vehicle linked to a morning carjacking and found a 15-year-old behind the wheel.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after Baltimore police located a vehicle connected to a carjacking that occurred earlier Tuesday in the city’s Northern District.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, officers found the vehicle at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Violet Avenue.
Investigators said the vehicle had been linked to a carjacking that took place earlier in the day in the 5300 block of York Road.
Police located the driver, identified only as a 15-year-old male, and took him into custody without incident.
The teen was transported to Juvenile Booking, where he was formally charged.
Authorities did not release additional information about the carjacking, including whether other suspects may have been involved or what charges the juvenile is facing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, police did not release his identity.
