TOMS RIVER, NJ – Over the past 24 hours, Toms River has reportedly received more than a foot of snow and Mayor Maurice Hill, after touring the town with the Department of Public Works is telling residents to stay off the roads and be patient.

“Mayor Hill had the opportunity to do a ride along with Brian O’Neill, one of our public works equipment operators and drivers as he plowed Squire Village,” said Hill’s confidential secretary Art Gallagher.

“The public works crews have been in the road since 3 AM this morning. They are doing a great job,” Hill said through Gallagher. “Please stay off the roads unless you have an emergency so they can clear the streets. Larger Township roads, through streets and the list of medical patients, are the first priority. Please be patient and stay safely at home. Thank you to our PW team working to keep the streets open and passable.”
