Man Shot And Killed in Northwest, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place on May 6th. This incident happened on the 5000 Block of Georgia Avenue in Northwest, D.C. The case is being investigated by the Homicide Branch.

According to police, “At approximately 12:05 am, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC FEMS members transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.”

48-year-old David Boyd, of Northwest, D.C. was named as the victim.
