Local authorities have taken numerous reports of vehicles being entered, ransacked, and having loose items removed. In each reported case, the targeted vehicles were left unlocked, and items such as loose change and personal valuables were left in plain sight.
Law enforcement officials are urging residents to remember to lock their car doors and remove any items of value. The police believe that the suspect(s) responsible for these burglaries attempted to break into several other vehicles but moved on when they encountered locked doors.
