Police investigating Merrick Boulevard shooting incident

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a reckless endangerment incident in the 105th Precinct. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at approximately 10:08 pm near Merrick Boulevard and Francis Lewis Boulevard.

The suspect reportedly displayed a firearm and discharged multiple rounds at unknown individuals. No injuries were reported, but the front door of a commercial establishment at 230-14 Merrick Boulevard was damaged. The suspect, described as a male with a dark complexion, was last seen wearing all dark clothing and fled eastbound on Merrick Boulevard.

The NYPD encourages anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit tips online.
