NYPD detectives make arrest in Bronx murder case

BRONX, NY – Yesterday, the NYPD has announced the arrest of 37-year-old Andres Latorre in connection to a homicide that occurred in the Bronx. Latorre, a resident of 303 East 158th Street, Bronx, NY, has been charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

On Sunday, December 18, police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot inside 2650 Briggs Avenue within the 52nd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found 26-year-old Angel Cuasant with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. EMS transported Cuasant to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Latorre’s arrest comes after a thorough investigation by law enforcement, but the case remains open as authorities continue to gather evidence.
