Four Arrested in Utica Over Handgun Threat Incident

UTICA, NY – On Wednesday, at about 4:10 pm, Utica Police responded to a report of a menacing situation involving a handgun near Arthur St and Steuben St.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim who reported that an acquaintance, along with three others, pulled up to her in a vehicle and threatened her with a handgun during an argument. The police, having received vehicle information, located it on the 1500 block of Bennett St, leading to a vehicle stop.

Upon searching the vehicle, police found a loaded .22 caliber sawed-off rifle. The four individuals were subsequently detained and transported to the Utica Police Department.

The individuals, identified as Jachi Wilder, 24, Gwendolyn Small, 45, Darrell Watkins, 24, all of Utica, and Josette Wilder, 19, of Utica, face charges including criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees, and criminal possession of a firearm.
