NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and vehicle operator involved in a hit-and-run collision that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct.
The incident occurred on Saturday, at around 6:40 PM.
A 35-year-old male pedestrian was walking westbound across Crotona Avenue at Claremont Parkway when he was struck by an unknown individual driving a black 4-door BMW sedan with tinted windows. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Crotona Avenue during the collision. After the incident, the vehicle operator fled the scene, continuing northbound on Crotona Avenue.
As a result of the collision, the victim sustained injuries to the head and foot. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene and transported him to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The NYPD has provided photos of the black BMW sedan involved in the hit-and-run, and they are seeking any information that could lead to identifying the vehicle and the individual responsible.
