New York, NY – Authorities are conducting an investigation following the discovery of four deceased individuals in an apartment on West 86 Street, within the jurisdiction of the 20th Precinct.
On Monday, August 28, at around 2:56 p.m., police were summoned to perform a wellness check at 328 West 86 Street. Officers gained entry into a fourth-floor apartment with the aid of FDNY personnel.
Inside, they found four individuals: a 41-year-old male with trauma to the neck, a 40-year-old female also with neck trauma, a 3-year-old male with torso trauma, and a 1-year-old male with trauma to various parts of the body. EMS was called to the scene and pronounced all four deceased.
Police later confirmed the individuals as family members. Each had been stabbed to death.
The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The investigation remains ongoing.
