Palm Beach Airport Resumes Operations After Security Scare

PALM BEACH, FL – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) has announced the reopening of the local airport following a brief closure due to a security concern. The incident began shortly after 1:00 pm when PBSO K9 deputies patrolling the arrival area noticed an unattended bag.

Following standard security protocols, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit was promptly summoned to inspect the bag. As a precaution, the first level of the airport and the A & B screening areas on the second level were temporarily closed.
