Cell Phone Snatched from Woman Waiting for Bus in Broad Daylight in the Bronx

Bronx, NY – A 59-year-old woman was robbed of her cell phone in a brazen morning theft while waiting for a bus in the Bronx, highlighting a concerning incident of grand larceny.

The crime occurred on Friday, January 26, at around 8:35 AM, as the victim stood on the sidewalk in front of 1604 Williamsbridge Road. Two assailants on a black scooter swooped in, seizing her cell phone right from her hands before speeding away southbound on Pierce Avenue, disappearing without a trace. Fortunately, the victim was unharmed during the theft.

Authorities have released descriptions of the suspects in hopes of apprehending them. The first suspect is a male with a slim build, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, with a medium complexion. He was notably dressed in a black winter coat, black jeans, sneakers, and a ski mask at the time of the incident.

The second suspect, also male with a slim build and medium complexion, was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with a white stripe, tan sneakers, a food delivery backpack, and a camouflage military jacket.
