East Brunswick, NJ – In a coordinated response to vehicle burglary reports, the East Brunswick Police Department apprehended three individuals on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The incidents occurred around 1:15 PM at the Neilson Plaza Parking Deck, located at 7 Tower Center Boulevard.

Authorities were alerted to the burglaries by reports of three suspects wearing dark clothing and entering the parking deck elevators. Two of the suspects were apprehended by police as they attempted to leave the scene with stolen items. One surrendered immediately, while the other initiated a foot chase that led to a dramatic rescue from Westons Mill Pond to prevent potential drowning and hypothermia.

The third suspect was found inside the Hilton Hotel and taken into custody without further incident. A subsequent investigation confirmed that four vehicles had been targeted, with three having windows forcibly broken and one left unlocked.

The suspects, identified as Keith E. Toney, 42, of New Brunswick, NJ; Demetrius W. Richardson, 44, of Highland Park, NJ; and Jessica L. Andrews, 36, of Flemington, NJ, face multiple charges including Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property, and additional offenses. Richardson and Andrews were also found to have several outstanding warrants.

Following their arrest, all three were transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, awaiting further legal proceedings.
