Subway Attacks Continue Even After National Guard Deployment to NYC

NEW YORK, NY – Police reported an assault at a subway station early Monday morning. A 19-year-old male was assaulted while waiting for the northbound F train, resulting in his hospitalization.

Following a verbal dispute, an unidentified assailant struck the victim multiple times in the head and face with a cellphone. The victim, who sustained bruising to his face, was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Queens by EMS, where he is in stable condition.

Authorities are searching for the suspect, described as a male with a medium complexion, between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, with a medium build. He was last observed wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.
