NYPD Makes Quick Arrest in Manhattan Murder Case

NEW YORK, NY — Police responded to a 911 call early Saturday morning reporting an unconscious man at 2211 Frederick Douglas Boulevard. Upon arrival at approximately 3:15 AM, officers discovered a 40-year-old male, Guillermo Edgardo Ortiz Palacios, unresponsive with head trauma.

Emergency Medical Services transported Ortiz Palacios to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was later pronounced dead. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is set to determine the exact cause of death.

Victor Springer, 35, has been arrested in connection with the incident and is facing charges of second-degree murder. Currently, Springer is held in custody as the investigation continues under the supervision of the 28th Precinct.
