Large Capacity Firearm Seized in South Boston, One Arrested

SOUTH BOSTON, MA—Early this morning, Boston Police, alongside the FBI, arrested 22-year-old Mohammad Abdi from South Boston on multiple firearm charges following a raid at his residence.

The operation, which took place at around 6:07 AM on Friday, June 21, involved detectives from the Forensic Division and FBI agents executing a search warrant at 5 Gavin Way. During the search, authorities recovered a Glock 19 with ten rounds loaded in a magazine that has a fifteen-round capacity, along with three loose rounds of ammunition.

Abdi faces charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm. He is scheduled for arraignment at South Boston District Court.
