by Breaking Local News Report

Indiana — A 3-year-old Indiana girl ingested fentanyl from a pill crusher found in her father’s backpack, leading to felony neglect charges against the father, authorities reported.

Devin D’rell Rollins, 25, is currently in custody facing charges of felony neglect of a dependent. The girl, who remains unidentified, has recovered and is now safe with family members.

The incident came to light on June 30 when Rollins and his daughter were staying at the home of the girl’s aunt. According to an affidavit obtained by local Fox and CBS affiliate WXIN, the father allegedly informed the aunt that his daughter might have ingested some Tylenol.

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCS) and police were notified and involved in the case.
