Lenoir Resident Wins $150,000 Powerball Prize Using Family Dates

by Breaking Local News Report

LENOIR, NC – Brittany Hitchcock, a resident of Lenoir, struck gold with her Powerball numbers, winning $150,000 in Wednesday night’s draw. Hitchcock has long used family birthdays and anniversaries to select her numbers—a strategy that finally paid off handsomely.

The winning $3 ticket was purchased at Gamewell Superette on Morganton Boulevard in Lenoir. Hitchcock matched four white balls and the red Powerball, initially winning $50,000. Thanks to her decision to opt for a Power Play ticket, her winnings were boosted to $150,000 when a 3X multiplier was drawn.

“It was surreal,” Hitchcock recalled, sharing the moment she discovered her win. “It actually still feels surreal.” Her excitement was echoed by her three daughters, who were in disbelief when they heard the news.
