Cumberland Police Issue Criminal Summons for Assault

CUMBERLAND, MD—The Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons to 18-year-old Erica Nicole Plummer on Thursday following an assault incident that occurred late in July. The altercation took place at Jaycee Field in Cumberland and was reported on July 31, 2024, at approximately 3:06 AM in the 800 Block of Edgewood Drive.

During their investigation, police obtained video evidence showing Plummer and another individual engaged in a physical fight. Based on this evidence, the Allegany County District Court issued a criminal summons charging Plummer with Assault in the Second Degree and Affray. Following the issuance of the summons, Plummer was released pending her upcoming trial in District Court.
