Annapolis Police Address Multiple Theft and Assault Incidents

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Annapolis Police Department has been actively responding to several thefts and a serious assault incident, as per the recent police blotter updates.

On the evening of Saturday, police were called to Dean Street where a theft from an auto was reported at 9:30 PM. The victim discovered missing items including Nike shoes and volleyball knee pads, totaling a loss of $159.81, from his blue 2023 Volkswagen.

Simultaneously, another team responded to a theft at the Dollar General on Hillsmere Drive, where a suspect reportedly stole food items worth approximately $100 and fled.

Early on the same day, at 3:20 AM, officers arrested two juveniles at Hilltop Lane for possessing stolen items from vehicles.

Additionally, a stabbing incident was reported on Friday, where a victim was hospitalized after being stabbed in the abdomen on Copeland Street. The victim was later dropped off at the Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Other notable incidents included a shoplifting arrest on Taylor Avenue, where David Scott Kneavel was caught with stolen goods valued at $189.04 and a case of stolen auto from Ritchie Street, where Richard Kenneth Allen is accused of not returning a borrowed vehicle.

Theft was also reported at Helly Hanson on Main Street, where Bryan Anthony Greenleaf allegedly stole clothing valued at $280.

The Annapolis Police Department continues to investigate these incidents and has made several arrests. They urge anyone with information on these cases to come forward.
