CUMBERLAND, Md. — The Cumberland Police Department arrested 33-year-old Cody George Edward Damon on multiple charges following an incident on Monday, August 19, 2024, at a residence in the 100 block of Memorial Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a male subject attempting to kick in the door of the residence. Upon arrival, police learned that Damon had been denied entry into the home due to the late hour and his apparent level of intoxication. In response, Damon allegedly attempted to force his way inside, causing damage to the property.

In that earlier incident, Damon was accused of causing a disturbance at a Virginia Avenue business after becoming upset over not receiving service. He allegedly threw food inside the establishment and activated the fire alarm before leaving the premises, leading to charges and the issuance of the arrest warrant.
