One Dead, Two Injured in Shooting During Large Disturbance in Clairton

CLAIRTON, Pa. — A large disturbance early Sunday morning in Clairton turned deadly when shots were fired, leaving one man dead and two others injured. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred on the 400 block of State Street.

County 9-1-1 received reports of a large fight in the street at approximately 3:57 a.m. Multiple local police departments responded to assist Clairton Police. Upon arrival, officers heard multiple gunshots from within the crowd at around 4:10 a.m.

Authorities detained one individual at the scene, though their involvement in the shooting has not yet been confirmed. In the aftermath, one adult male was found deceased after fleeing the scene in his vehicle and crashing on State Street. Two other adult males were injured, one with a gunshot wound to the arm and the other with a gunshot wound to the leg. Both survivors were transported to area hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition.

Detectives are actively investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
