Wilkes-Barre police arrest fugitive from New York during incident on Kidder Street

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Wilkes-Barre City Police arrested a woman wanted by the Orange County (NY) Sheriff’s Office on September 5, 2024, after responding to a report of a disorderly customer.

Officers were dispatched to 497 Kidder Street around noon to investigate the situation. During the course of the investigation, they discovered that the individual involved, 45-year-old Princess Fredericks of Bronx, N.Y., was a fugitive from justice.

Fredericks was taken into custody and held for arraignment. The arrest was made in connection with a warrant from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in New York.
