NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. – A 58-year-old man has died following a collision between his E-bike and a Ford SUV on Monday morning. Terry L. Crick, originally from Jamestown, N.Y., succumbed to his injuries at the Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) on Tuesday, according to police.

The North Tonawanda Police Department responded to the accident at approximately 11:25 a.m. on Monday near the intersection of Twin City Memorial Highway and Tremont Street. Officers arrived to find Crick, who had been riding an E-bike, lying in the roadway with severe injuries.

Emergency responders from the North Tonawanda Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance treated Crick at the scene before transporting him to ECMC. Police said his injuries were life-threatening at the time of the incident.

An initial investigation determined that Crick was traveling eastbound on Tremont Street when he failed to yield the right of way to a southbound 2014 Ford Explorer on Twin City Memorial Highway. The SUV struck the E-bike before coming to a stop.

The driver of the Ford Explorer remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation, police said. No charges have been filed against the driver.

The North Tonawanda Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
