MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Authorities in Monroe Township are responding to community concerns following reports of drone sightings across the region, including in the local area.

The Monroe Township Police Department released a statement on Tuesday assuring residents that the situation is being closely monitored in coordination with state and federal agencies. Officials emphasized that there is currently no known threat associated with the drones.

Residents are encouraged to report unusual drone activity to the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI, providing details such as the location, time, and distinguishing features of the drone if possible.

Police also reminded drone operators to follow FAA regulations, which prohibit flying near restricted areas, private property, or in a manner that could endanger public safety.

The department is working to keep the community informed as they continue to address the reports and prioritize public safety.
