Duo pushes employee, grabs cash and vapes in brazen candy store robbery

BRONX, N.Y. — Two unidentified men stormed into a Bronx candy store Thursday morning and made off with cash, cigarettes, and vape products after physically restraining an employee, police said.

Suspects fled on foot after daylight robbery

The NYPD reported that the incident occurred on March 27 at approximately 10:20 a.m. when the two suspects entered Lucky Corner Candy and approached the lone 54-year-old male employee. According to officials, the men pushed the employee and held him while removing goods and money.

Police said the suspects took an undetermined amount of cash from the store’s register along with cigarettes, vapes, and lighters before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

Employee uninjured, investigation ongoing

Despite being physically restrained, the employee was not injured during the incident, authorities confirmed. No weapons were mentioned in the initial report, and no arrests have been made as of yet.

Investigators are working to identify the suspects and determine if surveillance footage in the area may aid in the case. Police have not released descriptions of the individuals involved.
