Fatal Shooting Leaves One dead, One injured in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – 27-year-old Derrick Thompson of D.C. was shot and killed, and another man was also shot Tuesday evening in Southeast, D.C.

Just before 7:30 pm, officers of the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the 400 Block of Condon Terrace to investigate gunshot sounds. At the location police found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Thompson died at the scene. The other shooting victim is expected to survive.
