Teen robbed of shoes and jacket in Navy Yard attack as suspect hunt intensifies
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A group of suspects targeted a juvenile during a chaotic night in Navy Yard, assaulting the victim and stealing clothing before fleeing.
The robbery happened around 9:12 p.m. on March 14 in the 1200 block of First Street Southeast.
Police say multiple individuals approached the victim, assaulted them, and forcibly took their shoes and jacket.
The suspects then ran from the scene on foot.
Despite the violent encounter, the victim was not injured.
Investigators have released an image of one of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying those involved.
Authorities are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
