GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie woman is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming a $133,542 prize in the Maryland Lottery’s MONOPOLY Second-Chance Promotion.

Jenelle Ballard received the news on March 11 while at work, learning she was the first rolling cash jackpot winner in the promotion. She claimed her prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters on March 17.

The Anne Arundel County resident, who has worked at a grocery store for 16 years, plans to use the winnings to pay off bills and visit her mother in Las Vegas.

Ballard is the first of three rolling cash jackpot winners in the MONOPOLY Second-Chance Promotion, which runs through July. The next jackpot winner will be announced on May 6, with additional $5,000 winners selected monthly.
