Man shot repeatedly on Spelman Road

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 27-year-old man was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday after being shot multiple times on Spelman Road, prompting officers to detain a person of interest shortly thereafter.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 7:34 a.m. in the 3400 block of Spelman Road, located in Baltimore’s Southern District. Upon arriving, officers found the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds, authorities confirmed.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he remains in stable condition, according to police.

Investigators quickly identified and took into custody an individual described as a person of interest. Officials have not yet revealed the identity of the detained individual or announced specific charges.
