Fort Washington woman wins return trip to Los Angeles for 2028 Summer Games

Fort Washington, MD – A Fort Washington resident is heading back to Los Angeles, this time with tickets to the worlds biggest sporting event, after securing a VIP Olympic getaway through a Maryland Lottery promotion.

Jocelyn Johnson won a trip for two to the 2028 Summer Olympic Games as part of the Maryland Lottery Keno Team USA second-chance promotion. The prize sends her back to Los Angeles, a city she and her husband last visited more than a decade ago during a vacation that included stops along the California coast and local landmarks.

The winning package includes round-trip airfare, five nights of deluxe hotel accommodations, tickets to four Olympic events, meals, ground transportation, Team USA apparel, and $1,000 in spending money.

Johnson said she enjoys watching the Olympic Games and is hoping to attend events such as basketball, swimming, and track and field during the trip.

The Keno Team USA promotion allows players to enter both winning and non-winning Keno tickets into My Lottery Rewards through Feb. 22. Each dollar entered earns one entry into the drawing. Participants have the chance to win either the Olympic trip or a Team USA apparel and merchandise prize pack.

Johnson and her husband shared that they work together when entering tickets, with one playing and the other handling submissions.

She is the second Maryland Lottery player to win a trip to the 2028 Summer Games, joining a Silver Spring resident announced earlier. Three Olympic trips remain available, with additional drawings scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3, Tuesday, Feb. 10, and Monday, Feb. 23.
