Seven figure for life prize sold in Western Pennsylvania

$1 million a year for life Scratch-Off sold at Armstrong County BP

ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery player purchased a $1,000,000 a Year for Life Scratch-Off ticket in Armstrong County, landing one of the game’s top prizes.

The winning ticket was sold at Radhe Oil Corporation (BP), located at 222 Buffalo Street in Freeport Borough, according to Lottery officials. The retailer will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $1,000,000 a Year for Life Scratch-Off is a $50 game that offers top prizes of $1 million annually for life or a one-time cash option of $14,500,000, before applicable withholding.

Lottery officials remind players that Scratch-Off prizes expire one year from the game’s end-sale date, which is posted on the Pennsylvania Lottery website. Winners are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket immediately and call 1-800-692-7481.

Scratch-Off tickets are distributed at random, and neither the Lottery nor retailers know where winning tickets will be sold until prizes are claimed.

All Lottery prizes exceeding $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding.
