Teen boys shot multiple times in violent East Baltimore attack

Police rush two teenage victims to hospital after gunfire erupts on North Potomac Street

BALTIMORE, Md. — Two teenage boys were shot multiple times Friday evening in East Baltimore, sparking a police investigation into the latest outbreak of gun violence involving juveniles in the city.

Officers responded around 5:39 p.m. to the 1200 block of North Potomac Street after receiving reports of a shooting, according to Baltimore police.

When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to their bodies.

Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said both teens were listed in stable condition.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation.

Authorities have not released information about possible suspects or a motive in the shooting.
