15-year-old critically injured in shooting in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Monday afternoon in Baltimore’s Central District.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 3:22 p.m. in the 400 block of North Caroline Street. Officers found the teen in the 500 block of North Caroline Street with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Central District shooting detectives have taken over the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-396-2411 or to provide anonymous tips via Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP or through their website.
