Man Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer

BOSTON, MA – Yesterday, Boston police arrested a 25-year-old man for assaulting a police officer in the area of Summer Street and Kingston Street. The officer was responding to a report of a disturbance when the suspect physically attacked him.

The suspect was apprehended after a brief foot chase and was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is being held without bail and is set to appear in court on April 7, 2023.
