22-Year-Old Drug Dealer Arrested for June Murder

Chicago, IL – Anthony Jacobson, a 22-year-old resident of Lindenhurst, Illinois, has been charged with the murder of a 38-year-old male. The incident occurred on June 16, 2023, in the 5000 block of W. Altgeld in the 25th District.

Following a thorough investigation and efforts by law enforcement, Jacobson was arrested on August 1, 2023, in the 6000 block of W. Addison. He was found inside a stolen vehicle at the time of his arrest. Additionally, authorities recovered a weapon and suspected narcotics.

The charges against Jacobson include one felony count of Murder – First Degree, two felony counts of Aggravated Battery/Peace Officer, two felony counts of Receive/Possess/Sell Stolen Vehicle, one felony count of UUW (Unlawful Use of a Weapon) – Weapon – Machine Gun/Auto Weapon/Vehicle, one felony count of PCS (Possession of a Controlled Substance) – 15+ Grams – Cocaine, one felony count of Cannabis – Mfg/Del (Manufacture/Delivery) – 30-500 Grams, and one felony count of Aggravated UUW (Unlawful Use of a Weapon) – Loaded – No FCAA-Foid.

The offender will appear in Central Bond Court located at 2600 S. California on August 3, 2023, to address the charges.
