Bronx Man Shot and Killed in East 174th Street

BRONX, NY – Police in the 42 Precinct responded to an emergency call on Thursday, October 5, about a shooting at 985 East 174th Street.

Upon their arrival, officers found Anwar Stokes, a 47-year-old resident of 1715 Longfellow Avenue, Bronx, NY, with multiple gunshot injuries. Emergency services promptly transported Stokes to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, and the investigation continues.
