New Castle Man Charged with Attempted Assault on Juvenile

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah, together with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York Acting Special Agent in Charge Erin Keegan, announced the arrest of Dustin Layme, a 26-year-old from New Castle.

Layme faces charges for attempting to rape a child in Greenburgh, following an undercover operation against online child predators.

Layme was arrested on December 14 by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Charges include Attempted Rape in the First Degree, Attempted Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, and several counts related to child sexual exploitation.

He remains in Westchester County Jail, awaiting his next court appearance on January 9, 2024.
